SelfDesign Inc. is in affiliation with Living The Potential Network Inc., a Portland Oregon Company founded by Renee Poindexter. Recently, Darrell Letourneau, Barbara Meyer and Brent Cameron contracted through Living The Potential Network to HOPE Coop Online Academy in Denver CO. The HOPE program has over 3800 learners who visit 79 learning centers and do online curriculum. This program has grown rapidly over the past two years and there has been some consideration by state legislature that there is not a separation of church and state in the program as well as a couple of other concerns. We were part of a team put together by Laddie Livingston from VISION Colorado that did a week long evaluation of every HOPE center. We filed a report on each center and learned a great deal about online and learning center operations from an evaluation perspective.
Hawaii - Barbara Meyer and Brent Cameron have been invited to Hawaii by three different groups this March. Dr. Dan Janik, author of Unlock The Genius Within and president of the NeuroBiological Learning Society has asked us to give some presentations on SelfDesign to his organizations and affiliate universities in Hawaii. Also Theresa Collins and Marshall Leifferts who are the creators of Gateway Courses on Barbara Marx Hubbard's Evolve website are keen to meet with us to create some collaborative development of webcourses and webjourneys. Maria Mitchell has also asked us to give a talk and workshop on the big island to help initiate a SelfDesign Learning Community on eight acres of land that she and partners own.
Brent Cameron is consulting to Wynndel, to a group of parents eager to start a SelfDesign Wondertree Learning Centre in their community for September 2007.
